Have eaten lunch there on other occasions and was excellent. This evening was another story. Service was excellent. Food was below par. Mussels were over cooked and extremely salty and I had 9 that were not open, throw those away!! or you risk making someone sick. My friend had a meatball dish that looked anemic, virtually no sauce. My other friend had a chicken pasta dish that was very bland. Not good. I know you can do better because I have tasted it before. Sloppy!!
Our organization that had gathered for dinner was set up in their private dining space upstairs. The food was served buffet style from already selected items off the menu. Absolutely delicious. The hit of the evening was the bacon Brussels. The chicken Alfredo was perfection, the chicken was tender, flavorful and perfectly cooked. Everything was really wonderful. The outside patio area would be a perfect spot for summer evening meal and many were enjoying the gorgeous landscaping.
The Humble Tomato was delicious with excellent food and service. My family, including myself, my husband, and our two boys - 13 and 8, were greeted inside immediately . While we waited, we were discussing how old the original house probably was and the hostess engaged us with that. She said the beautiful building was originally built in 1792!
