The hotel itself is insanely beautiful, I love old buildings, lots of the old architecture is still in place including the staircase. What I wasn’t a massive fan of was my room, we paid $280 for a single night, which is fine, but what isn’t ok is having two single beds pushed together with a mattress on top. That has to be the most uncomfortable sleep I’ve had in years. 5 Stars in all categories well deserved for the High Tea served in the beautiful Hotel Windsor Dining Room. Congratulations to the Chef, Kitchen staff and front of house. A wonderful experience to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday and we will be sure to visit again at some stage. Thank you so much.
I went for high tea recently for my bachelorette. The location is very convenient, the room for high tea set up properly and spacious. Since I had some big days coming up after this bachelorette high tea, I was very cautious not to over eat and intended to pack up some unfinished sweets and scones for my fiancé who was stuck with work that day - but this was refused by the staff whom advised I was not allowed to take away - given I paid $89 per person for the table and the leftover/untouched portion was nearly equaled 1 pers... read more
I stayed at The Windsor for two nights this week while attending a two day conference close by. I was warmly welcomed by staff at check in. In fact, staff throughout my stay were all friendly and professional, from front desk, dining room and cricketers bar. I stayed in a traditional room which was very comfortable. As I was travelling alone, I didn't need a larger room, but would have loved a view. I think the superior rooms have the views.
