Love this hotel. Clean interiors and friendly staff. Restaurant and bars are great. Super convenient location for subway or walking. Close to a Whole Foods too.
The website is totally misleading. The hotel is filthy. The entrance is a dump. The elevators have been beat up & dented. The front desk is run down. The itty bitty sitting area is like a college dorm. The face soap provided is the size of my thumb. The ceiling in my room had dust & scapes all over it. The furniture is chipped & damaged. I didn’t stay here, I went in to look around the lobby areas and bar to see how much it had changed since being an apartment block which I’d been to previously. The beige-ification of this historic landmark was so disappointing. The inclusion of various beautiful artworks felt forced and the whole vibe was off. The service and food was ok in the bar, nothing exceptional. The hallways were super crowded with people checking in and out, which I’ve not seen in a luxury hotel before.
