Nice hole in the wall small town restaurant. Good food with generous portions.
Biscuits and gravy had bland gray coating everything. Biscuits. Eggs. Hash browns. All of it. Asked for bacon crisp and it was floppy and under cooked. Nickeled and dimed for every aspect of the meal and it was basically mediocre cafeteria food. Don't bother.
We stopped at Horseshoe while passing through Benson, and it turned out to be exactly the kind of classic American restaurant you hope to find on a road trip. The atmosphere has plenty of character, and the service was excellent and very welcoming. We started with the Horseshoe-style wings, which felt like the perfect way to experience the place. Pricing: Menu prices for lunch items were very reasonable for the quality and portions provided. Our bill consisted of 4 food items and 1 drink and totaled right around $50 before gratuity. Meeting “n” Exceeding: The Horseshoe staff exude the small town hospitality that elicits a comforting charm. All of our dishes were satisfactory.
