RIP hop shop, you'll be missed
The Hop Shop is closed. This was my neighborhood pub. Fine people, great staff, fantastic beer selection. The owner of new restaurant next door (Remedy) poached the lease out from under the owner of the hop shop (all for parking, just shameful) so the hop shop has been closed since Feb 2016. This was a great loss to the Comstock neighborhood.
The staff make the bar. This is the bar where everyone knows your name.
Good beer, good people, nice place to have a pint.
