I understands companies have there safety policies like every other. Normally I pick up loaded trailers directly from the guard shack. How ever, this time they sent me to dispatch office today to pick up a preloaded trailer. In that case it being my first time people just stop anywhere they like in the yard. Can we say zero stars? At 930 at night in freezing temperatures the security guard was suddenly concerned whether or not I could deliver their load without safety shoes. When I explained that I would just drive the load to a drop yard and my company would start charging a storage fee the guard suddenly forgot his last five minutes of tirade and wanted the load. What a total joke. No where in the load info or on the bills does it say you’ll need safety shoes to deliver to this location. Places that invent issues at their gate... read more
