I have been a consumer of Home Depot's services for thousands of dollars. I find the staff helpful but I cant always find one!!! I bought 3 Anderson storm doors and the gentleman Dion working that department was knowledgeable and helpful. He was very patient and attentive. I purchased Corian counter tops from Eugene. It would be a constant disappointment, but I've already writ – Without question, the worst retail experience of my life. Despite spend over $10,000 with Home Depot in the last two years of my home renovation, a manager wouldn't help me with $10.00 worth of returns. The general attitude of all of the staff I've interacted with is apathetic. The only exception is Les who worked with me on cabinets and countertops. If I need Home Depot, I drive to Steelyard, though I live in Cleveland Heights!

One stop DIY shop? Think again... – Don't stop, keep going... you won't be doing it yourself with Home Depot. Repairing appliances improves one's home, and since this is an alleged home improvement store, well...? Why not carry some hardware in the form of appliance repair parts? How is buying a new appliance "doing it yourself"? Brand promise broken.
