Most people simply have no choice. I understand the point of product merchandising to boost sales, but I don't get why it’s done in such an idiotic and inconvenient way for shoppers. No one knows anything. The staff are working for minimum wage (or rather, just going through the motions) and are only annoying with their questions—"Can I help you?"—followed immediately by, "I'm from a different department."
It's Home Depot. They usually have what I want and what I need at reasonable prices.
Very helpful too rental staff in helping me reserve a cargo van after my local Home Depot cancelled my reservation (due to the vehicle not being returned by other on time).
I tried to check out with my gift card but I had lost my ID, I made a purchase just earlier today with the same picture of my ID and the manager just used the other form of ID option and entered my first and last name. What got me was the manager came and told me it wasn’t possible and when she had to stop the system from alerting an employee for help, the system popped up to enter first and last name. I just had to leave a review showing how the customer service works here at this location.
