We’d never met Dr. Colleen before but she was very highly recommended by our vet of 25 years when we were faced with having to have our beloved cat, Rosie, euthanized. Dr. Colleen was kind, compassionate and made the heartbreaking experience more bearable by not having to stress Rosie out with another trip to the vet’s office. I recently used The Holistic Vet for at-home euthanasia for my beloved dog, Violet. Violet had CHF and I chose to free her from pain and suffering. Dr. Colleen was absolutely amazing. I cannot express enough thanks and gratitude for Dr. Flaherty and her team. They’ve helped us say goodbye to two of our pets. It was a calm, peaceful experience each time and just a true gift to be able to spend our last moments with our pups in our home and in their happy place. We’ve received prompt communication and genuine care that is so needed during such a tough time.
We had to put our 12 year lab, Macey, to sleep this past Thursday. We have 3 little girls at home who loved her dearly, as did we. Colleen came at our requested time and day and helped us all through that hard time. She was very gentle as my girl was anxious and didnt often like new people. She explained everything well and could not have been more caring as we went through one of the hardest times as a family so far. Im very grateful for this experience and Colleen. We cant say thank you enough.
Dr. Flaherty was a calming presence as we said goodbye to our cat. She was patient, kind, and gentle as we went through a very difficult transition. Being able to say your final goodbyes to a beloved pet at home is a beautiful gift she gives her clients.
