Edited 18th Sept2025 again Sucked in, place closing *Edited post* Update November 2021 - I have added more of my experiences there. This place helped me so much back in 2013, leaving I felt like a whole person again, groups are well run, private rooms, 24/7 support if you need to talk to night staff, when you're really struggling, Tried to go back in in 2015, no psychiatrist was taking new patients, was severely depressed after experiencing relationship problems combined with severebgrief of my dog passing, left for interst... read more

The first two times I stayed here it was amazing I got so much support the nurses were lovely and the groups on offer were good. The last two times there was a lack of program staff and a lot of programs not run the psychiatrists all seemed to be leaving and the nurses were struggling to handle the extra pressures being put on them

I was here twice, in 2011 and 2016. As someone who has had experience of interstate hospitals, I can say that the accommodation was shakey (even though I got a single room) with poor construction like a temporary demountable. The floors would creak move under you like you're in a haunted house at a fun fair. Some of the older nurses were nice, but the younger ones were neglectful. The cook, a lady, was the best thing there. The staff who ran the classes did not know their material well. The psychiatrists I got were truly dre... read more
