I was in a good place in terms of health and fitness before I started at HL. My goal was to reduce fat and gain muscle mass. It wasn’t so much about losing weight. I thought training sessions were great, coaches are super helpful. I thought I knew a lot about nutrition, but actually having a plan and recording what I ate was very useful and I learnt from it. Before I Joined My fitness was reasonable but my strength was not good and I was constantly getting injuries from running. The training sessions were (and still are!) a good balance between being challenged and pushed on-and not being made to feel inadequate or frustrated by failure. Before I joined I had slowly put weight on over the last year. I felt sluggish and wanted to focus on getting back to the gym and eating healthier. The sessions are really well structured and change each session. The coaches are extremely approachable and supportive, they explain each part of the workout and correct/encourage you throughout every session.
