Love the food, the staff, the live music.
The menu looked great and the wait staff friendly and efficient. The food was hard to judge as most of it was served cold…crab cakes, scallops, sides…disappointing.
This was the best hidden gem in lake lure! The food was outstanding, service was on point, and we even had live music on the night we were there. The music was perfect, it wasn’t too loud that you couldn’t have dinner conversation. A thank you to Captain Ruth for letting us know this was the place to go!

We took a little day trip from Charlotte up to the mountains and Lake lure. Stopped at the Highlands reserve for lunch and had an amazing meal. We ate at an outside table on a beautiful day and even brought our little dog Hurley. Maddie was the waitress and she was very personable and did a great job.
