I have been using The Highland Vet for 2 years now. Dr. Malone and the entire staff are awesome!! They treated my16 year old Shih Tzu "Gracie" for right at two years for bladder cancer. Dr. Malone and the staff were so patience in explaining everything in layman terms to me. They treated Gracie's with love and compassion. They were so supportive when Gracie passed away. Was traveling from the Coast to DeSoto County the day before Thanksgiving. After noticing blood in my dog's stool on a potty break, I called my vet who instructed me to find a vet immediately that she must be seen. Even if it was an emergency clinic as most vets would be closed Thanksgiving and possibly Friday-Mon. Whatever was causing this would be lethal for her size (11lbsPom) if it hit the Pancreas before treated. It was 3:06pm Wed. They actually genuinely care!!!! I have a geriatric rescue and even though the cost was expensive, I am glad I chose to go here! I don't believe Frosty would have received better care from anyone in this state.
