I stayed here with my mum this week, for 2 nights. I found the check in process quite interesting. Whilst the staff member was courteous, I'm not sure she said more than 2 sentences to me during the process. That possibly wouldn't have seemed odd but the person served before us was involved in super friendly conversation with the receptionist. We were a family of 4. I found the rooms neat and clean. The service was non existent. Receptionist seems either not bothered or not interested. Requested an extra wine glass as they only had 1 in the cabinet only to be told they dont have any extra. What kind of hotel doesn't have wine glasses?
Clean room with all you need for a short stay. Easy, friendly check in. Didn’t eat in the restaurant, very short walk to the pub instead. Have stayed twice on our road trips & would happily stay again.
This is now called the Mecure hotel. Staff is lovely, rooms are clean and daily room service was fantastic. However this hotel shows rooms online that look nothing like what we stayed in. Rooms are in desperate need of a makeover. Still stuck in the 80s, and looks very tired with scuff marks and drill holes in tiles in bathrooms. Road noise is loud in rooms and noise from other rooms is loud. The hotel restaurant "Noky" did have lovely food.
