This " WAS" the best heart center in Anne Arundel County. Dr Okun and his staff and UM took excellent care of me and my family for many years including my open heart surgery. Ever since Dr.Okun has retired and the university of Maryland has taken over, this place is circling the drain quick. You can't get a phone call through to the front desk. Tried for three weeks. Then supposedly they fixed that problem. Now the answering machine says they are busy and disconnects. They get rude with you because you complain. They failed ... read more
First visit. Attentive, pleasant. Was good to meet.Dr Penafield. Staff was cordial and looks like a happy place. More as it develops.
I scheduled an appointment 1month in advance, Called off work and made my appointment on time just for them to tell me it was automatically canceled because I didn’t answer a call they made the day before while I was at work. I was not notified at the time of scheduling the appointment that this was a policy or I would’ve at least had a heads up. Just a COMPLETE waste of my time!
HORRIBLE. My elderly father was scheduled for a stress test this morning and unfortunately he was turned away because he does not speak english. Well according to the law, under several acts such as athe ADA, Executive order 13166, section 1557 of the Affordable care act, this is illegal.
