This place has went down hill since they merged. Used to be the best. More doctors, less available appointments. Can't get appointment with your doctor for months, they put you with a NP or someone else, testing schedules are constantly being rescheduled making more appointments you have to plan for. Like dont they know when they make an appointment if the tech is scheduled that day since appointments are made at least a month out? This happens to both my husband and I and am about done with it.
This " WAS" the best heart center in Anne Arundel County. Dr Okun and his staff and UM took excellent care of me and my family for many years including my open heart surgery. Ever since Dr.Okun has retired and the university of Maryland has taken over, this place is circling the drain quick. You can't get a phone call through to the front desk. Tried for three weeks. First visit. Attentive, pleasant. Was good to meet.Dr Penafield. Staff was cordial and looks like a happy place. More as it develops.
I scheduled an appointment 1month in advance, Called off work and made my appointment on time just for them to tell me it was automatically canceled because I didn’t answer a call they made the day before while I was at work. I was not notified at the time of scheduling the appointment that this was a policy or I would’ve at least had a heads up. Just a COMPLETE waste of my time!
