I chose the rechargeable hearing aids. The aid part sits on the ear with a plastic wire that goes into the ear canal. I wear glasses and wear sunglasses. I found the aid part kept coming off my ears when I used glasses then took them off which dislodged the entire hearing aid. As a result I lost 2 hearing aids. Insurance only covers each side one time. I do not think an adhesive tape was suggested to help them stay on the ear. If you wear glasses be very, very careful.
