I would not send anyone you care about to this facility . Care is not good , most of the staff is rude , communication is awful and the list could go on and on .
Staff is super friendly but lazy. Food is horrible and not consistent. No communication between the therapists and nurses
I WITNESSED ABUSIVE ELDER TREATMENT BY THE PT MANAGER WHEN MY HUSBAND WAS TOLD BY NURSING TO NOT PARTICIPATE IN PT TWICE DUE TO BLEEDING AND NAUSEA ISSUES. THIS STAFF MEMBER OBVIOUSLY ONLY CARES ABOUT THEIR QUOTA DRIVEN INCENTIVES AND HAS NO ABILITY TO EVEN FAKE COMPASSION TOWARDS YOUR RESIDENTS. I WATCHED AS THIS EMPLOYEE BADGERED MY HUSBAND WHO WAS WEAK AFTER A WORKOUT AND WANTED HIM TO STAND. My grandma stayed at The Healthcare Resort of Topeka after a hip fracture and some heart complications, and the care she received was outstanding. The nursing staff went above and beyond — they were kind, reassuring, and consistently attentive to her comfort and medical needs. You could tell they truly cared about her as a person, not just a patient. Therapy was also excellent and helped her regain strength and confidence. We’re very thankful for the wonderful team that supported her recovery.
I want to highlight how incredible the whole team is at HCR of Topeka. What a wonderful team and staff. Thank you for taking care of the communities that you serve!
