We joined the Wildflower and Wildlife tour and it was the best way to spend a few hours on the weekend! The weather was beautiful and the staff was wonderful. They were super patient and provided clear instructions, and were very knowledgeable about the river’s history and the local flora and fauna. They made everything really easy and fun, despite being out of their normal space after the hurricane flooded their building. 10/10 recommend renting from them or joining a guided tour. So much fun!
Had a great experience at the Harvard care and kayak company! Chandler is such a great instructor!! She was so welcoming and supportive!! Ben is great too! Will be back soon :))
Jason and the Haw River crew are top notch! I booked a solo canoe lesson with Jason earlier this season in preparation for an adventure in SW Virginia. He was able to quickly judge my paddling skills, listen to what my needs and goals were in the lesson, and fine tune my technique for solo and tandem canoeing in small rapids. He was a great teacher, with memorable take home points that I was able to use to navigate the rapids with ease. And he's just an all-around great human being.
