Super friendly and helpful!
We had a wonderful experience with Haw River Canoe & Kayak on the sunset paddle (10/18/25)! Our guide, James, was fantastic—knowledgeable, patient, and engaging with everyone in our group (one 60+ woman and two 20-somethings). The paddle was both relaxing and informative, with beautiful scenery and plenty of wildlife sightings along the way. Watching the sun set over the trees & water was absolutely magical. Great experience! We (2 adults and one toddler) took a canoe out into Saxapahaw lake on a gorgeous day in October. The staff at HRCK were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We had an awesome time and everyone had fun :)
Great canoe & kayak rental spot for kids conveniently located walking distance from main part of town.
