Food was excellent but service was slow
We've lived in the area for quite awhile and for whatever reason have never visited. Well, today was the day. Why did we wait so long? Built in 1829 and registered as the first business in Stark County, this place is the real deal. It doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. Axe hewn exposed rafters. "Small" and unassuming as it may be, the food was spot on. I had an Italian hoagie w/ side salad and my wife had a smothered burger (complete with a gluten free bun) w/ fresh cut fries. Pretty great the service was amazing, and the food was good too, only disappointing part was the chocolate pie taken off the menu and it smelled like sweaty feet when we first arrived for some reason but it went away.

Ate here for breakfast this morning, place was really busy, one waitress, and our food was amazing!! She apologized for the wait, but totally understand when waiting on every table! Just wanted to say great job to her, and the chef! Been here few times for dinner also, always delicious!! 😋
