I had a business policy under the Hartford and they did not get me a proper COI to a company. They went round and round so I canceled the policy and now I am getting calls from a collection agency and now a law firm over $400 that I apparently owe them even though I canceled. NEVER GET INSURANCE HERE!!!!
Awful experience with claims and denial
The Hartford has done absolutely nothing to assist me with my Short Term Disability. Initially, they denied my claim due to "not meeting the 7 day elimination period," however I was out of work over the 7 days. I then had to file an appeal, which was approved, but then they delayed my payment and used incorrect information to approve it on. I then lost web access to viewing information related to my claim. I can log into the portal, but nowhere can I view my claim status nor can I see any information related to it. The only ... read more
Went above and beyond
It's not worth the money from your check to be denied when you needed it. Disabled mental health nurse who is out of luck now that my body can't do the job needed to keep my patients from committing unalive. The Hartford would rather have me working and put other patients at risk or tell me I shouldn't have been trying to work anyway because I have been disabled from 12 years old.
