After being a faithful customer to The Hartford for over ten years, I finally moved all my accounts to Allstate. During that term I asked for better rates on my three cars and my two homes. They could never accommodate. I then contacted Allstate, and without drama, they came out with comparable and/or better policies that saved me almost a thousand (1000) dollars. The Hartford sucks in senior citizens with low rates the the huge increases begin with no explanation. AARP should be ashamed endorsing this insurance company to its members.

Most impossible company to deal with. I have been trying for two and a half days to make a repayment to them from when they over paid me while on short term disability. They say I can call and make payment through their automated line but when I do they try to charge me $65 more than what their records show I owe. From what I can tell they only have one person that can help with this situation and they never answer their phone and their mailbox is full.
