Happy Campers is the worst garage I have been in with my van. They did a sealing job for leaks on my van in January and that was terrible, none of the leaks had been sealed. I brought the van back for them to do a proper job and then was saddled with a broken alternator and an oil cooler issue. I have been waiting for parts to arrive for 2 weeks now and no sign of the parts arriving. Their prices are totally EXORBITANT. My bill is close to £4000. Someone needs to take action. This company is a total scam.
‘Happy Campers’ concentrates on mobile servicing of campervans, motorhomes and the like. The operation ‘Happy Campers Store’ based in St Helens was dissolved on 28th November 2023 but they are still trading under this or a similar name and appear to be part of the ‘Fastlane Autocare Autocenters’ group which is based at the same address. Please don’t take your cherished camper van to Fastlane Autocare/The Happy Camper. I wish I hadn’t. Their website suggests they are experts in restoring Classic VW camper vans. Nothing could be further from the truth. We took the van in mid-May for a 2-3 week job, repairing and respraying the lower part of the van and left a deposit of almost £2000.
