Worst Service Ever – Two well-dressed, polite friends and I stopped here for a drink. The bartender studiously ignored us. It wasn't crowded, it was 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. The host and hostess, both with the most affected speech [seriously touched - they were like the wanna-be retail fashionistas on SNL, as played by Will Ferrell, Pierce Brosnan and Jimmy Fallon] I've ever heard, were defending the snobby bartender instead of making him serve us. Pretty much agree with every positive review on here. – The headline says it all. Have never been disappointed at Half King. Accommodating staff. Friendly crowd. Good vibe.
Great all around – Love this place for lunch, brunch and dinner. Reasonably priced and really good service, their meals are always delicious. Also right next to the new fabulous Highline Park!! A must on weekends!

The price is rather high, but justify with the location. I sometimes feel that people at the bar do not treat me right. They are rather brunt and not accommodating. I suppose you can do that if the place is busy enough.
Feel like a queen at Half King Summer and fall are the best times to take advantage of Half King's outdoor seating. And it's great if you have a dog...you can all plunk down outside. Tons of great beers , wine , and cocktails. The food is pretty good...burgers, mussels, nachos. Great place to check out all the hunks walking back from Chelsea piers. And you can smoke on one side of the patio outside.
