The Halal Guys have fresh food, a very clean store, amazing hours, and the flavor of New York street food in a casual environment. The staff is friendly and efficient, and you can get an affordable and tasty meal quickly. It’s one of my go-to places, especially for late nights.

I had a very disappointing experience at The Halal Guys. I ordered a regular platter, but the portion was far below what’s normally served. There was a new staff member who we hadn’t seen before, and unfortunately, her behavior was quite rude. She added very little rice and chicken to the platter. When we politely asked her to add a proper portion, she immediately said it would be considered “extra” and charged additionally. This was honestly one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had at a food spot. The service was really disappointing. The employee behind the counter seemed completely uninterested and came off as rude the entire time. I asked if the chicken could be chopped a little more on the grill—nothing unreasonable—but he immediately started making annoyed faces and acting like I was asking for something crazy.
