Love their small chicken platter, as it is delicious and filling enough to be a lunch. Also, love their special white sauce that is added to the chicken!

I tried to lower my expectations due to the insane amount of hype about this place (albeit from the New York City original cart) but even after several visits, I have to admit that I'm just not a fan. The food just isn't very good. The beef is so salty that all I could taste was salt, salt and more salt. I guess that's what the sauces are for but I'm not a sauce / dressing fan. Halal Guys is more hyped up than anything. They sell Gyro over rice, but the meat is actually beef and they do not have any lamb at all. It is pretty gross. I don't know what all the hype is about.
My quest for tasty falafel finally has a destination: I can actually taste it. These aren't bland peppery pucks. The hummus is very good, not bland, and my combo platter (half beef half chicken) was delicious. Baklava for dessert was decently flaky: needs more syrup.
