A great place to catch live shows, and the drinks are reasonably priced.
If you’re visiting from abroad be sure avoid this place unless you want to bring your physical passport out with you. While it is a NYC rule to not take foreign is aside from passports, Gutter bar is much stricter than anywhere else in the area (most will take a photo of your passport with id). Also quite rude about it as we didn’t even press the issue before politely leaving and we’re still greeted with a “is that a passport” to our drivers license. Decent bowling alley with a good atmosphere Overall, I had a good time at this bowling alley. The place is a bit old and could use some updates, but it still has a fun and friendly atmosphere. It’s a nice spot to spend time with friends and enjoy a game or two.
No food served here however you can bring outside food in. We've been coming to The Gutter for The Simpsons trivia night which is the first Tuesday of every month. They focus on the 1990s episodes and people who attend really know their stuff. Prepare to study before you go
Went to their Stand-Up Magic! show Sunday evening and enjoyed the place’s ambiance. After the show I found out their main performer is Israeli.
