I hired Guilt Free bakery for my dad’s 77th birthday this past weekend 9/20. I was relentlessly looking for a “diabetic friendly” sugar free cake for my dad since he’s a diabetic. I was SHOCKED at how so many bakery’s in San Antonio did not offer this! Finally I came across Guilt Free Bakery and Melissa assured me that she could meet my request with no problem and that it was actually her specialty! Had a great experience with The Guilt-Free Baker. Easy to order and arrange pickup for my cake. The cake theme was spot on it looked amazing! I loved it so much. I ordered a gluten free cake. When it came to the taste test it was not the best. It was very dry. We had to eat our cake with some coffee to make it go down. I can’t comment on the wheat and sugar free cakes because I have not tried them. This is only for the gluten free cake.
I do not recommend anyone using the guilt-free bakery. I placed an order for vegan cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday. I asked for the address to pick up the cupcakes and was never provided it. I sent another message to ask about picking up the cupcakes on the day I needed them and received no response, until I asked for my money back. I was then told by the owner that I should’ve looked up the address and that she didn’t need to provide it and would not return my money. They only take orders. Not a bakery!!!
I am from out of town and got in touch with The Guilt-Free Bakery two days before a celebration of life for my nana. She worked me in and gave me exactly what I asked for! It was beautiful and delicious! I ordered yellow gluten free and sugar free cupcakes and everyone loved them! I am so happy for this bakery and their willingness to help honor my nana. 💖
