Didn’t have a booking and was seated. Service was really good and food came quickly. Ordered the sea bass and Angus fillet and both cooked exceptionally well. Really great food and highly recommend!!
This was my first visit and will definitely not be my last. Why? The warm welcome when we arrived, the very pleasant and comfortable layout/decor, perfect background music and this was before the food arrived. We had mains and desserts. We had the duck and the halibut chef's specials and wow what a treat. Cooked to perfection, full of flavour and (very important for me) piping hot. Celebrating a wedding anniversay with a trip to Kew Gardens and then a meal at Grill off the Green, which was about a 10 minute walk away ! Lovely restaurant, service impeccable and great food. Rounded off the whole day perfectly.
Great food and the quality is definitely there. Service a bit slow and sometimes missing some basics (when we ordered the soup, didn’t come with bread which we had to ask for). Nevertheless, I’d say one of the best places to grab some food if you are visiting the Kew Gardens.
There is a lot to like about Grill Off The Green. The steak was genuinely very good, as were the sauces, and they have a good and interesting wine list. The meat was the highlight of the evening. I ordered my steak medium rare, although it arrived closer to medium. The biggest disappointment, however, was the selection of starters and sides.
