Disappointed at the way I was treated
I saw therapist Clayton today for the first time. As a new patient I wasn't sure what to expect. I had the most positive, honest, helpful experience then ever before. After trying therapist after therapist for 5 years now. FINALLY!! I came across your clinic . Had a poor experience Jan 2024 with a provisional psychologist, I was at the end of my rope, desperately banking on this first session, and was left sitting outside in my car in the winter, 6pm appt, door was locked, no one visible, without knowing if anyone was inside or not. Did they leave and forget about my appt? Omg I am counting on this session. No sign saying they lock the door at a certain time, and to wait in your car. Never have I seen a counselling service make therapy as inaccessible as GTHC has. I've watched with disappointment for years. They've recently relaxed some policies to be more on-par with other providers but still staunchly stand behind increased barriers to mental health services. It's hard to see.
