Strange little room! Plastic hole coming out of the floor. Only 1 coffee cup in the cabinet!!! No sink or mirror in the bathroom! Very strange having to brush my teeth in the kitchen sink. It is very easy to stub your toes along the bed frame due to how far it sticks out from the mattress with limited space to get around it. While we were there the Power Co. came to shut down the power for late payment! A local contractor saved the day on that one! He is truly the best thing about this lodge! My husband and I had such a nice time at this lodge! We were upgraded for free, but that was just the cherry on top to a great stay. The room was clean, the views were wonderful, and the location is something you can’t beat! Just a few minutes away from Old Colorado City and just off Route 24. Check in was super easy, and the staff were super nice. Overall very happy with our stay!
The location is perfect we had a Mountain View and huge private balcony! This is definitely a cozy feel really gives a rustic cabin vibe but I loved it the room even came with a small kitchen. The gentleman I talked to on the phone about my reservation was super kind and helpful! Definitely recommend this if you want great views and amenities!
Please note, I did not ultimately end up staying here, and this review is based on the level of customer service I received from the front desk. I wanted to take a moment to review that Caleb at the frond desk is an amazing employee! My husband and I are traveling to CO to get a medical procedure done and he was very accommodating, friendly, responsive and willing to do whatever he could to help us book a room. Really good base for visiting the area. Room had a beautiful balcony to sit on and look down through the valley of Green Mountain Falls. The basic King room was a little challenging as the bed very nearly filled the room. I had to remind myself that this is a lodge not a hotel, but next time I will opt for the jacuzzi room to get more room.
