The motto they try and follow with the Greenhouses is amazing. It's better than traditional LTC facilities. They make the residents feel safe like they're in their homes. I'm a new team member there, but what I can say is that the staff and homes are truly there for the residents. I've been in this field for over 14 years setting up this type of environment for the elderly population is going to give them a longer life in a safe place. I highly recommend the greenhouse homes.
In the last 6 months the care has really declined. The staff quits regularly and temporary help comes in that isnt familiar with anything. The cooks in some units aren't real cooks, the food boarders on commody quality, green beans over and over, with no seasoning. There was two Shabaz (cna) ladies and one nurse per unit. Now there is one Shabaz and 1 nurse between 2 homes. Some residents don't get their pills on time because of staff shortages. I have a long list of more issues but I will not elaborate. The care that my mother received at the Green House Homes at Mirasol was professional, compassionate, and loving. She was a favorite of the staff with whom she became close. I will be forever Grateful for the loving personal care they provided. I highly recommend the Green House At Mirasol.
Often short staffed, seems management is very inconsistent. Scheduling definitely needs work.
The care and love and support that my husband is receiving here at Mirasol is worlds different than where he was placed after being discharged from the hospital. He lived in a N H for over 3 months with the exception of some hospital stays. I cannot even compare the facility and care to the home and care he is now been blessed with.
