Beautifully "green" (in more ways than one) The Green House is a curated cocktail bar unlike anything else not just in Iowa City but in the entire state. Using local herbs and botanicals (including a plant wall from locally-owned and operated Beno's Flowers), the drinks I've had handily rival ones you'll find in much larger cities. About $15 a drink. A little spendy, but they don't skimp on the liquor. Felt a little out of place there as a 30 something--this is geared towards college age.
I recently had my book club event at the green house and everything from the hospitality of the staff to the amazing drinks, everything was top notch. They offer a wide variety of drinks, lemonade, coffee, mocktails and more. It such an inviting space to study, work, and hang out with a friend. I cannot recommend this place enough!
