I went with a group for karaoke last night. The night started great, we had drinks and sang. It was a good time. We all signed up to sing a second song around the 10pm mark. Around 11:15, we realized a lot of us and other people were being moved further and further down the list and made to wait and other people who signed up after us were going first. The Green Door is a good bar, but they have the worst karaoke DJ I have encountered in more than a decade of doing karaoke throughout the country. My friend and I put our names in shortly after it started at 9pm and were 16 from the top. After more than an hour, we were still 15 from the top, even though many songs had happened and no new people had arrived. Went for a concert. Awesome small venue
Insane door fees for shows nobody goes to. $20-30 for an empty dance floor? Hard pass. Increased beverage prices while decreasing quality. Current iteration of green door is not worth your money or time.
