My mother’s burial was mishandled in a way no family should ever endure. On the day of her burial at Northern Memorial Park (GMCT), we arrived to discover the grave had partially collapsed — with no warning. This was a known risk they failed to address or communicate. We were forced into a rushed, distressing decision moments before the service. My mother’s coffin was then lowered into an uneven, unstable grave and now lies on an angle. My review is mixed one. My interaction with GMCT started off most positively with such a caring and kind interaction with a staff member in which I was so fortunate to be allocated an emergency lawn grave plot for my mother, close by my grandmother’s grave. Sadly, it all went downhill after that, hence the 1 star review. My mother’s bank made one error after the error the other, in not being able to release funds in time for payment of the grave plot. Very sad that an organisation cannot take constructive criticism about their service where they delete 2 reviews that I made about their service in regards to the sad state of affairs regarding the burial of my mum who passed away a month or so ago. In life and in the workplace, we have to take constructive criticism to improve work standards and practices. Unfortunately, the greater metropolitan trust doesnt believe in that sort of theory.
