Very disappointed in our stay at the Great George. It is a perfectly fine hotel, but not the quality you would expect if this is being marketed as a 5 star hotel. Pros: Location! Cookies. Historic significance & rooms are okay. Cons: - Before I arrived I emailed the concierge with a question and never received a response. - Hotel said they provided beach towels and every time we asked they said they were out (we stayed 5 days). - Staff were not knowledgeable about the area and were not the most approachable. - Parking! Prachtig ‘hotel’. Tussen aanhalingstekens: het is een verzameling aaneengesloten gebouwen. Wij vonden het fantastisch: een zeer ruime nette en schone suite, een lekker bed. Leuk detail: de jazz-muziek stond al aan toen we aankwamen. Tijdens de happy hour is 1 drankje voor rekening van het hotel: top. Het ontbijt is, net als de happy hour, in het ‘hoofdgebouw ‘. The room decoration was stylish. The bathroom sink drainage was Clogged and dripping only. The front desk was not available several times. The worst is that the air conditioning fan was right on the ceiling beside the bed. The Fan blue heart toward the head all night long. Tried to stop the air conditioning, but couldn’t find a button for that and the front desk was not available. The breakfast was above average. The room was expensive.
Great hotel but not an EV friendly hotel. They have 2 chargers on site but they do tolerate regular gasoline car to use them. They called me at 9 the first night i was charging(and woke up all the kids) to ask me to share the charger instead of having the gas car moved. Could not charge the next day because of 2 gas car parked in the chargers…
