Mom stayed at The Grand recently for twelve nights for rehab after falling on her hip (no broken bones). All employees, even those just passing in the hall, were pleasant, with rare exception. There were heartfelt goodbye hugs upon her discharge! Fortunately, despite her 94 years, she is medically and mentally healthy, and she credits an experienced PT with speeding her recovery. My name is Brian. I have been staying at The Grand in Whitestone Queens for 11 years. I am very pleased with the services. I participate in a different variety of Activity programs here. I enjoy our beautiful patio when the weather is good. I am able to get the nutrition that I need with meals that look very appetizing. The staff treats people with respect and dignity. We are like a family here. The nursing staff are very knowledgeable and respond with an incredible sense of urgency.
Everytime I call this place they sometimes are rude, we leave messages with social svc..never get a call back..just this morning I'm calling and once I hit 0 for operator they just hanged up....if they treat outsiders like this I can imagine the poor helpless seniors.. They shouldn't work there if they don't have compassion and patience for seniors!!!
Cora seems hard working. Sharon not so. Jin seems sincere and professional. Sharon tries to pass off work to Cora, supervisor doesnt come to see room Sandra gets caught in mix. Food arrives cold, will probably bring in Uber eats. Hopefully mom can benefit from PT. They are on a dead end street, prophetic. I was at the Grand for 3 months in 2019 the staff was wounderful patient and kind everyone was so kind and helpful I truly loved it there I recommend the Grand to all who need to be cared for.
