I’ve stayed here before and had a lovely time, but something has happened (I was told new owners?) and things have changed. Room was dirty, mould in the bathroom, dirty and broken cupboards in the main room, quilt on the bed dirty. I asked for the room to be made up for the following day but they didn’t do anything, no cleaning, no replacing the one sachet of coffee, no made bed, nothing other than the bath mat thrown over the shower screen. Overall ok but felt a lot more like an aged care home than a resort…tiny room with a bed on wheels that had an uncovered doona and public hospital sheets and pillows, a shower with a loose hot water tap with water that kept switching from hot to cold and very low water pressure. Only good thing about the room was the one packet of biscoff biscuits and the Netflix on the tv which I watched alllll night because I couldn’t get a wink of sleep on the awful crunchy bed and sheets. The bedroom was a good size, comfortable mattress, tv, kettle, aircon and lovely outlook. The bathroom set up was unusual in our room as the shower was separate to the toilet and basin. It was very clean however the carpet in the room was a bit dusty. The carpet in the entrance foyer was also very tired. Overall a great value place, close to town and gorgeous grounds.

This hotel is a hidden gem in Beechworth.... Beautiful location and friendly helpful staff... Room are comfortable, super clean with calming decor. Food in the restaurant was superb. Thank you to all the staff for making me feel at home.

Really comfy beds, peaceful and gracious location set amongst grand gum trees and Oaks. Staff are very helpful.
