Warning. You may think spending $500 a night brings you a cut above experience. Not so. We had high expectations for our stay here. Located right in middle of Kennebunkport, The Grand Hotel promised a high end resort experience with all the amenities expected of a $500 a night stay. Rooms were nice and well decorated. We did have a few issues with the 2 rooms we reserved. The soap/shampoo/conditioner bottles on the wall in the showers were completely empty in both rooms. There was a partial roll of toilet paper on the roll in one bathroom and no extra rolls! And even though the ‘service please’ sign was left on one of the doors, nothing was done in the room. I'll start this off with the fact I dont normally leave reviews, but felt compelled to write something honest about our experience -- Our room was lovely and location was great to walk to town, but other than that, there is nothing special about this hotel for the price. We paid more for our room to have a view/balcony and our balcony was tiny and didn't even have a chair and you were basically sharing with the neighbors next door with the way the fencing is.
