Super upsetting, I went in to get my ring finger sized as I’m getting engaged and the lady couldn’t be bothered to inform me the size of the ring can very by the thickness of the band. So she measured me at 9 1/2 and I go on my way and my partner orders a ring for that size. Fast forward some time, me and my partner go to get her ring finger sized at bogarts at the mall. Had to get a ring resized with a complex design that was at risk of breakage/warping the ring. They have a good actual goldsmith (unlike many other jewelers in town) that did a wonderful job

I brought 2 necklaces in that needed fixing to inquire if that's something they could do. I thought it was quite rude of the lady to say they were just costume jewellery (one piece was an inexpensive seed-pearl necklace and the other was a solid gold chain) and not worth fixing. She even implied no one in town would bother fixing them. I would have totally understood if she just said they can't do that kind repair there was no need to act condescending.
