The best way to describe the food overall is bland. We began with the calamari, which was breaded and fried to perfection; however, the “Pomodoro” sauce lacked flavor and had a very watery consistency, resembling tomato juice with some crushed tomatoes rather than a proper Pomodoro seasoned sauce. Glass Onion, a charming cozy restaurant in Weaverville, unfortunately falls short in terms of food quality, especially considering its high prices. The fried calamari with crumbled Parmesan cheese, was underseasoned and seemed to be made with cheese from a Kraft bottle. The smoked cheese ravioli, while decent, didn’t justify the $42 price tag. In essence, the food here is nothing special, similar to what you’d find at the Olive Garden.
Incredible food at a reasonable price.
We are visiting for a couples trip. We came across this bar while waiting for the local pizza place. We had a drink made by the lovely Kelsey the bartender and she was awesome. We definitely want to come back for dinner.
Food is amazing, atmosphere is very warm, welcoming, and calm. This is a great place to eat if you have a business event or friends and family. Staff is overly nice and accommodating. I would recommend to anyone in the area. Make sure to make a reservation because they fill up fast!
