Popped in today on the way home for a late lunch/early tea. Lovely customer service, very friendly lady on the bar I believe was the owner. We ordered chicken burgers with dirty fries and a side of onion rings, then brownie and eton mess for dessert. The food was absolutely amazing! Having visited before and having food in the garden I requested a certain sauce not on the menu. The chef was brought out and offered different sauces and we could choose. Seemingly very pretty and welcoming appearance but unfortunately this was a huge disappointment! The waitresses were an efficient kind of friendly and drinks were brought quickly. The table was extremely sticky, I don’t know why but it definitely hadn’t been wiped even though it was clear and I caught my finger very painfully on the loose seat when pulling my chair in. Not a good start but the biggest disappointment was the fish and chips. Both had most definitely been cooked numerous times so there was very little fish left... read more

Stopped on the off-chance,for a table of 4 , excellent food with really friendly staff ! Definitely stopping again!

Fish and chips...had to hunt inside the batter to find the fish. Not exactly the best fish and chips I've ever had.

I enjoyed calling in for a couple of drinks a game of pool and a quick game of darts. Friendly service and reasonable bar prices.
