I have stayed in this house MANY MANY TIMES and I am just now leaving a review (I’m sorry Paul). Paul and Lewanna (sp?) Gillette are two of the best people I know. Their warmth, generosity, kindness, good cooking, and genuine caring for others’ well-being is unparalleled. The attention to EVERY DETAIL- is something that only a true military family can begin to comprehend. Gillette House is a terrific alternative for a stay in Mexico, specially for families of Missouri Military Academy cadets. It's less than a mile from campus. Paul and Lawanah are engaging hosts, the rooms are comfortable, and the house itself is a treasure. They have upgraded and the key facilities while keeping the charm of the 1890s construction and architectural detail.
