The George is a stunning hotel with so much character. Our wedding guests still rave about how impressed they were with The George. Some of out favorite wedding photos are from the different rooms in The George. Erika and the rest of the staff is super nice, helpful, and accommodating. Plus, you can’t beat that candy closet!
Stayed at the Oscar Room which they consider a Standard Queen. One gallery wall that displayed a collection of different famous Oscars, a handsomely upholstered headboard, and a swivel wall lamp on either side which barely provided light. Overhead light made the space look bleak. I must say, the room was teeny tiny and there was not enough room for two carry on suitcases and a large check-in bag. Perfect location in the heart of Montclair! Absolutely gorgeous property inside and out — impeccable decor and the room was super cute! Breakfast was great and the fact that there was parking was a huge plus! A huge shoutout to the staff — especially Lilly from the front desk! This was my first trip I’ve ever taken solo and so I was just a little nervous about everything. Lilly was amazing and more like a friend while I was there — she definitely went above and beyond! Currently booking another room at 12:30 am because their mobile check in doesn’t work and they don’t answer their emergency line. We’ve called about 20 times and left half as many voicemails. If you’re looking for a hotel room that you can get into, I’d look elsewhere.
Loved this hotel. Comfortable room, free wine, free breakfast, and a free candy closet!
