(4.5 stars) Recently changing hands to former Wallaby, Bill Young, the Gem Hotel Griffith is another stellar motel up-cycle. The architectural bones are a 1980s multi-storey hotel, but it has been given a mid-century facelift by Paul Kelly Design. It’s now an attractive 65-room property boasting suites and deluxe rooms. Nice hotel in the heart of town. Recently renovated with a lovely bar and steakhouse down stairs. Will definitely stay again. Thank you for the great stay
We booked numerous rooms as we do every year for the Salami festival. This year rooms that were allocated were given to others so people that paid for larger rooms were given petit suites and visa versa . Some rooms had cardboard in the window which posed a hazard that fell on deaf ears and the restaurant was a far cry from previous years with diners going elsewhere after for dinner as we were all still hungry .
