They’re really honest. After describing the symptoms to Paul, he was instantly able to tell me it was not worth spending any money on diagnosing it as the gearbox is too far gone, and other places I contacted were not interested in diagnosing the car instead, just quoting For repair. Spent 5 minutes talking to me which I appreciate costs them time, so highly recommended.
Super service 👍 My short wheelbase Vivaro was squeezed in to check an oil leak and difficulties getting into 1st gear. As it turned out the leak was virtually non-existent - but road debris made it look bad. I also got the explanation that on a Vivaro with higher mileage, gear changes get a bit clunky and a new first gear could be fitted but it wouldn’t make much difference. Very busy and helpful staff and will be using them again and in a great location
I was referred to The Gear Box Specialists for a possible problem with my gear box. I booked in for a diagnostic check. Phone calls are always answered promptly and they really talk to you about your needs. Delivered my car for the check and when I returned I was told that my gear box has no problems, they had run engine checks and they told me what engine problems had been reported and then I was told there was no charge! Friendly, informative and highly recommended.
