During our recent stay, we encountered several issues that affected our overall experience. The bunkbed room had no power points, thus making it impossible to use a fan during this peak summer heat. The kitchen’s range hood was broken, and essential utensils were missing, which made meal preparation difficult, furthermore dishwasher was not properly functioning which make this stay more difficult... Had a lovely stay with 9 friends in a spacious home. Would have been great to have an outdoor table, a properly working fridge and TOP SHEETS. To not have top sheets in summer is crazy!
I recently stayed at The Gathering Place with my family for a long weekend, we wish we could have stayed longer! The home is clean, welcoming and has plenty of room. The kitchen is well appointed with everything we needed to have our local family members over for a big family dinner. Beds are comfy and extra blankets and pillows were available. Positives first… Good location Peaceful area Negatives: Doesnt meet expectations from the photos - house needs some work Faulty appliances/equipment eg oven, stove top, sliding door, window, shower tap, bike and boogie boards etc Very dirty outside and not inviting at all It was one thing after another, and the only response from the owner was that the cleaner was rushed because I asked for early check in!!
