Had a lovely stay with 9 friends in a spacious home. Would have been great to have an outdoor table, a properly working fridge and TOP SHEETS. To not have top sheets in summer is crazy!
I recently stayed at The Gathering Place with my family for a long weekend, we wish we could have stayed longer! The home is clean, welcoming and has plenty of room. The kitchen is well appointed with everything we needed to have our local family members over for a big family dinner. Beds are comfy and extra blankets and pillows were available. Positives first… Good location Peaceful area Negatives: Doesnt meet expectations from the photos - house needs some work Faulty appliances/equipment eg oven, stove top, sliding door, window, shower tap, bike and boogie boards etc Very dirty outside and not inviting at all It was one thing after another, and the only response from the owner was that the cleaner was rushed because I asked for early check in!! First place where I have had to pay a cleaning fee, but asked to strip all the beds and place all linen in the bath!! I... read more
Stayed there for a few night with my extended family over the easter break and was pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was. Good facilities and (very importantly for me) clean. There was plenty of space for the kids to release their energy and it was close to the beach. Will be back!
