I placed my mother here about 2 months ago. I was looking for a more intimate setting with a staff that was caring and attentive. I appreciate that when change needs to happen, they listen and make the necessary changes quickly. I believe that the Gardens of Smyrna is really interested in the best interest of it's residents and I'm glad to have my mom here for now. Don't do it unless management and ownership has changed. Always had a positive experience. Friendly and gracious staff.
My mom was only there for 1.5 weeks and she eloped from the facility. She left about 7pm per their camera, the police called me about 1130pm. No one knew she was gone until we brought her back. She then got a termination of agreement letter about 2 weeks after that, stating they could no longer care for my mom, because she kept wanting to escape.
