The Lock Bottom Jazz and Dinner Club ( City of Akron Recreation Bureau) had dinner at The Game Grill and Bar last Wednesday evening before the Lock 4 concert. All of us were impressed with the food. It was excellent. Appetizers were generous and were served hot and delicious. Dry rubbed wings, yummm, and the macaroni and cheese was fabulous. A-FREAKIN-MAZING quality of food & creativity of food choices
Well, We wanted to like this restaurant. Great atmosphere and the food was pretty good. Unfortunately the service was not good. They were not busy at all. We waited 20 minutes for 2 salads and one kids chicken tenders. Too slow. Then our server was chatting with the hostesses while our glasses were empty. I got up and got refills at the bar. She checked on us ONE time after bringing our food. We were thinking of getting desserts but just wanted to get out of there. Love the atmosphere, love the location, hate the service.
We've been here twice. .... the food is good, service at both the dining area & bar could use some help. May just need to iron out some wrinkles since this is their first season being open. Would go back again though.
