My mother has lived at the Gables for the past 9 months and I cannot say enough good things about her experience. We visited many Assisted Living facilities and put much thought into finding my mom her new place to call home. The Gables has not disappointed. It was necessary for me to make a quick transfer of my mother from the hospital to a memory care unit. While I was not wowed by the sterile environment of the memory care unit of the Gables (a significant contrast to the assisted living and independent living sections of the facility), it is within walking distance of my home and I thought I could make it work for my mom. My mother spent the last 5 months of her life here in the memory unit. She was treated with compassion, dignity and love. The nurses would call with any changes in her condition and worked well with hospice. We truly felt that the director and staff were an extended part of our family and they made these months much more bearable. I highly recommend The Gables!
