Dr. Michael Carlson is the single rudest medical professional, possibly human, I have ever encountered. He was condescending and abrupt. Spent less than three minutes with me. I do not question his diagnosis, but there were a thousand kinder ways he could have delivered it.
The Frist Clinic is clean, run efficiently, nursing staff and phlebotomist are phenomenal, and Dr. Carlson is top tier.
Hospital personnel made an emotional experience very peaceful and felt a sense of trust.
Dr. Marney and staff are the best.
I do not recommend Dr. Carlson. The front office and nursing staff are excellent—caring, responsive, and truly wonderful to work with. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Dr. Carlson. His communication style is dismissive, he does not listen, and he offers conclusions without any meaningful discussion. At today’s appointment, he referenced outdated labs despite having been provided updated results at my prior visit, and then suggested a dosage change that contradicted his own assessment.
